3/4 C. Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 C Crisco All Vegetable Shortening
1 1/4 C. firmly packed light brown sugar
3 T. milk
1 T. Vanilla
1 Lrg. Egg
1 3/4 C. All Purpose Flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
Heat oven to 375 degrees– Cobine peanut butter, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a bowl–Add egg–Beat until blended–Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl–Add to creamed mixture at a low speed–Drop by rounded teaspoon 2 inches apart on a greased cookie sheet–Flatten slightly and draw star figured with the edge of a fork–Bake 7 – 8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown–Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet–Remove cookies to a cooling rack until completely cooled. Makes 3 dozen.
